The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of flame burning on weight loss and rate of desiccation of wood fiber board. Data on the Algerian population's access to improved sources of drinking water and to improved sanitation facilities and social/economic vulnerability of the population were extracted from the World Bank databases and Index Mundi. The WASH vulnerability criterion (WVC) of Algeria was calculated using this data, enabling the calculation of the social and economic vulnerability criteria for the population. The WVC values ranged from 0.062 to 0.117, with values that were higher in rural areas of the country. The paper is focused on case report of gunshot wounds caused by plastic bullet of the rifle ammunition cal. 7.62 x 51 (Standard NATO) fired from the rifle of different caliber. The authors revealed the technical parameters and own ballistic attributes of this ammunition. According to the experimental shooting results and ballistic evaluation the testing barrel pressure changes p = f (t) in time has been obtained together with maximum pressure value (p max). Property protection is becoming an increasingly important concern not only for companies but also for individuals. Its importance grows not only with increasing crime but also with increasing awareness of people about the protection of their property and property. This article focuses on one of the issues that we encounter in processes related to the achievement of the required level of property protection and professional judgment. Expert judgment has an irreplaceable position in the whole security process. It shows the cases in which this judgment has a meaningful significance and the principles to be followed in their use.

The paper focuses on preventive measures taken and the protection of children in the camp Kennolyn Camp in California in the United States by participating in a co-author of this camp based on Work and Travel program in 2015 for three summer months. The authors describe the risks and prevention of the most frequently occurring events that threaten the health and lives of children in American children's camp. The article elaborated an action plan for emergency situations - "Emergency Response Guide Kennolyn Camp in the Stone Creek Village Hilltop Hacienda".

The contribution presents results of research with Hickman leaders - managers test, carried out at the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš. The article mentions on further additional factors, enabling the selection of susceptible candidates on leaders and managers' positions, on different command levels. Behaviour during the tests, results in terms of qualified to the individual profile and the time factor were chosen for research implementation. In conclusion, author compares results of research with practical utilization in connection of leaders or managers' positions selection.

The presented work Accidents in Road Transport and the Activities of the Integrated Emergency System Components during the Intervention is focused on the problems of road traffic accidents in the Czech Republic in 2016. Last year 98,869 traffic accidents occurred in the Czech Republic. In traffic accidents, 545 people died. Approximately 16.31 % of drivers have been driven from the accident site. The work is based on the own topic situation, which is evaluated by SWOT analysis. The activities of individual Integrated Emergency System (IES) components are shown graphically in SW Practis.

This article deals with the protection of the population of the city Žilina from the effects of hazardous substances, which are located in particular premises in Žilina. It lists the amount of hazardous substances and the area of danger to the population in the event of their escape from use, handling or as a result of an extraordinary event. Furthermore the article presents a method of evacuating the leakage of a chemical dangerous substance.
