Článok rieši súčasný stav a perspektívu prevencie kriminality na miestnej úrovni v podmienkach Slovenskej republiky. Predkladá návrhy na riešenia orgánmi štátnej správy a samosprávnymi orgánmi na miestnej úrovni. Osobitne sa venuje tvorbe preventívnych aktivít a ich zakomponovaním do interných právnych noriem.

In the present article, we analyse several models of the frequency of road accidents. It is shown that the commonly used Poisson distribution is appropriate only for an individual loss process, but fails when applied to large portfolio of drivers. Therefore three additional claim frequency distributions are studied. It is shown that Poisson-Inverse Gaussian distribution and generalized Poisson fit well the empirical values.

The process of restructuralization is divided into three phases and eight basic steps. The schedule of restructuralization was designed according the act, which governs the restructuring.

Risk management is essential to maintaining stability and continuity in the running of business. The paper presents selected methods and tools of risk analysis with more detailed explanation of the FMEA technique and its modifications. The RFMEA method, based on the FMEA, brings increased value to the risk management process, allows greatly reducing risks of a project and serves as a source of knowledge and lessons for future projects.

In regard to the high level of uncertainty in analyzing a likelihood of societal risks, the aim of the article is to establish a process for determining the likelihood of traffic congestion as a source and an activator of the societal risks. The article contains of incorporation this uncertainty into the calculating of rate of societal risks and the actual process of determining the likelihood of traffic congestion by using Pearson's chi-square tests of the continuous probability distributions. Fire management units takes place at three levels. The article deals with the management of fire departments in responding to fire from a level of operational control and tactical control. The main objectives are to characterize the operational management of the intervention and factors affecting it.
