AKTUÁLNY STAV PRIPRAVENOSTI SLOVENSKEJ REPUBLIKY NA ZAMEDZENIE ŠÍRENIA OHROZENIA VEREJNÉHO ZDRAVIA V MEDZINÁRODNOM ROZSAHU

The content of the article is to describe the current state of implementation of the requirements under the International Health Regulations of the World Health Organization in the Slovak Republic. The International Health Regulations implementation helps countries how to work together to protect the public health and lives of citizens in case of spreading of communicable diseases or by other health risks including radiation and chemicals threats. Article describes the Slovak Republic preparedness for prevention of public health threats by communicable diseases in the international scale and the impact of the existence of global threats to public health threats in the world. Requirements for these threats preparedness are specified by the International Health Regulations of the World Health Organization.
