The contribution analyses results of research with Hickman leaders - managers test, conducted at Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, University of Defence in Brno, National Defence Academy in Warszaw, Land Forces Academy in Lviv and Air Forces Academy in Brasov. The article mentions additional factors enabling the selection of candidates to leader and managerial positions, on different command levels. IMPACT OF FUNGICIDE COMPOSITIONS FOR FLAME BURNING OF WOOD

The main objective of the contribution was to determine the effect of fungicidal agents applied on wood elements to fire propagation in the building on the basis of the measured values in the experiment. As a sample we used one type of soft and one hardwood in the experimental part. Specifically, it was pine and oak. We compared the effect of fungicidal agents on the spread of fire with clean wood.

In the event of death of Czech citizens abroad for whatever reasons there is often a request made by their relatives for repatriation. Although there exist legal regulations which govern the way mortal remains should be transported, persons involved in repatriation are often at risk. The risks associated with repatriation of remains need to be analysed and subsequently reduced in order for the transportation of mortal remains to be safe and fast. The article points out the possibility of reducing the risks associated with repatriation by means of a simple numerical method.

At present, the protection of life, health and property is an important and indispensable part of our society. People who are unable to integrate into society are often sources of crime which has a negative impact on the safety of a given area. If we focus on a particular city and its residents, it is necessary to continually assess the current state of crime and propose measures that will reduce its level. Therefore, the aim of this paper will be an introduction of a crime map application that can identify those locations of city where it is necessary to create measures to increase the safety of its inhabitants.

The protection of the life and health of citizens is a priority for every state. Citizens' education in this area is implemen ted in different ways in the world in a variety of ways. The aim of this article is to point out the importance of education aimed at protecting life and health through primary education at elementary schools. Also, on the basis of a comparison of the education system in this area in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic, proposals were made for the application of new forms of education and training for elementary school students.
