COMPANY RESTRUCTURING ANALYSIS IN SLOVAK REPUBLIC

This paper focuses on the analysis of court restructuring in the Slovak Republic as a method of crisis management. Analyzed are restructuring proceedings in the years 2006 - 2012 using statistics of District Courts in the Slovak Republic and the outputs obtained from our field research. By examination of the period of restructuring permission we draw an inference that companies in the Slovak Republic do not analyze development of their financial situation continuously; they recognize the dissolution or imminent dissolution after closing of accounts and completing ordinary financial statements. Examining the permitted restructurings we found out that most of the restructuring subjects are legal entities with a seat in Banská Bystrica, Bratislava, and Prešov region (57,2 %). After the closer investigation of the process of restructuring proceedings we also defined factors of ineffectuality of court restructurings in the Slovak Republic.
