This paper deals with the issue of professional training as the efficient tool for improving the ability of crisis management authorities to solve a real crisis situation. Paper depicts the practical training of the Ministry of labour social affairs and family and the labour offices in Poprad, Kežmarok and Stará Ľubovňa aimed to solving simula ted crisis situation of floods on the river Poprad.
