The paper presents the results of flood vulnerability assessment which was performed for Poprad town. The vulnerability was assessed based on three approaches. One of them was represented by the evaluation of flood impact (Q100 and Q500) on the city. For this purpose the flood modelling in HEC-RAS and GIS environment was used. Another was based on the UNESCO - IHE methodology, which was modified for conditions of Poprad town and data available. And the last one was based on ETA risk analysis. Applied methodology, and in particular its modified version, was used in conditions of the Slovak Republic for the first time. And based on the preliminary result, it should be broadly applied in the system of risk and crisis management in Slovakia.
